Close Windows

If you want to know which day of the week your close is due to be cleaned then check our cleaning schedule.

WS Estate Services looks after the gardens and grounds of the Housing Association's properties.

tenament buildings

From April to March every year, the grass in the back courts and other areas of the estate where the Housing Association owns title, will be subject to two cuts per month ie. 16 cuts per year.  In the same period, every six weeks, bushes and hedges are pruned.

Throughout the year, weed and moss treatment is carried out and in November to March, leaves are collected every week.

On 5th April 2021 we introduced a comprehensive bulk uplift programme to ensure the backcourts and streets in the area are kept clean and tidy.

You can check when your bulk is due to be uplifted in our bulk uplift programme.  Tenants in the houses in the Edzell Development should let the Housing Association know by telephoning 0141 959 2552 when they have bulk to be uplifted and it will be collected within seven days.

Bin Stores

A pile of rubbish against an outbuilding

Every Tuesday, our stair cleaning team brush and clean all of the binstores in the stock.  Unfortunately, depending on the day the City Council empty the bins, the bin store condition may deteriorate during the week.  Our staff keep records and photographs so if you have any doubt that the bin store has been cleaned please let us know and we will check it out  for you.

When a tenant gives up their home it has to be prepared for the next tenant moving in. The time when it is not occupied it is described as being 'void'.

At WS Estate Services we go in as soon as the former tenant has left and we clear the property.  Any uncollected furniture in good condition we will store in order to have a supply for those tenants who have little or no furniture when they take up thier tenancy.

We then hand over the property to the voids contractor who does all the necessary repairs, electrical and gas checks, before we return and do a sparkle clean to ensure the new tenant finds the property in a state fit to move into.

We provide a caretaking service at the multi-storey facility at 64 Curle Street G14.  The service is provided 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. seven days a week and allows us to support the tenants living in this high rise building by keeping it secure, clean and well maintained.
